Wear A Hat Day
Friday 31st March 2017
Organised by the Brian Tumour Research charity, Wear A Hat Day is the premier brain tumour awareness event in the UK. It raises money to find more effective treatments & ultimately a cure for this devastating disease.
Research into brain tumours currently receives less than 1% of national cancer research spending yet it kills more children & adults under the age of 40 than any other form of cancer. So get involved & get friends & family involved too.
Gone are the days when it just wasn’t done to leave the house without a hat. Nowadays, we just wear one when it’s cold or for weddings so show your support & give it a go. It can be an everyday hat, a posh hat or a jokey hat. You can liven up a dull hat with ribbons, badges, maybe even some glitter. You could also make one out of card & make it completely bespoke.
To donate, text RSCH09 followed by £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 to 70070.
Get colleagues at work or a group of friends involved too or if you’d like to organise an event, visit the Hatter’s Workshop at the Wear A Hat Day website for posters, hat-templates & merchandise. You’ll even find a hat for your car! #Hattastic
